Wer uns hilft / helping us
Somerset, 27.07.2004
We, Lara and Sean Notmann, are part of an International Voluntary/Missionary Organization called
‘Family Care’, who for the past several years has been involved in
various humanitarian and missionary work throughout Africa. We are
involved in providing schools, orphanages, handicapped centres, and
institutions with clothing, food, school supplies, etc., as well as
reaching the children’s hearts with God’s love by teaching
character-building Bible classes and organizing educational
extracurricular activities.
We both grew up doing missionary work in various parts of the world,
India, Nepal, Croatia, etc… to name just a few, and for the last 5 of
years have been working in over 11 countries in Africa.
In summary:
We have dedicated our lives as independent missionaries and volunteer
workers to helping the underprivileged, handicapped, sick, and all
those in need, in hopes of changing a part of their world.

Outings:
For the school holiday’ we organized two different outings for children
ages 10- 20. With the first trip we took 10 of the children to the MTN
SCIENCE CENTRE, not only a place that keeps children from all ages
entertained for the day, but also gives them educational insight,
learning Science related facts, and doing fun experiments. After that
followed a meal at MC Donald’s, then back onto the Science Centre to
watch ‘The Fabulous Fables of Aesop’, play in the theatre. The children
enjoyed themselves very much and received educational input as well. The
second outing took place in the Cinema, where 19 of the boy’s had the
pleasure of enjoying, also followed by a MC Donald’s meal.
